Why Train With Us?
Score-Focused, Not Generic
Your study plan is built around the exact band your target university asks for, not a one-size number pulled off a website.
All 4 Skills, Properly Covered
Dedicated practice for listening, reading, writing, and speaking every week, not just mock tests on repeat.
One-on-One Speaking Practice
The section most students under-prepare for. Every candidate gets individual speaking correction every session.
Writing Scored Against Real Band Descriptors
Feedback mapped to the actual IELTS scoring criteria, so you know exactly what's holding a script at Band 6 instead of 7.
Small Batches
Class sizes kept small enough that feedback stays personal, not lost in a crowd of 30.
One Office, Your Whole Journey
IELTS prep, university shortlisting, and visa guidance, all under one roof in Thane West, handled by the same team.
What's Actually On The Test
| Section | Duration | What It Tests |
|---|---|---|
| Listening | 30 min | Conversations, lectures, monologues |
| Reading | 60 min | 3 passages, comprehension & inference |
| Writing | 60 min | Task 1 (report/letter) + Task 2 (essay) |
| Speaking | 11–14 min | Face-to-face interview with an examiner |
Who Actually Needs IELTS?
Studying Abroad
Most universities in the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand ask for IELTS Academic as part of your application, typically Band 6.0–7.5 depending on the course.
Permanent Residency
Canada's Express Entry, Australia's skilled visa streams, and the UK's settlement routes generally require IELTS General Training, with specific band minimums per category.
Work Visas
Many skilled work visa categories accept IELTS General Training as proof of English proficiency, often at a lower band threshold than PR routes.
School & College Transfers
Secondary school admissions abroad sometimes ask for IELTS General Training or a simplified equivalent, depending on the destination and age group.
Typical Band Requirements by Purpose
| Purpose | Typical Overall Band |
|---|---|
| UK undergraduate | 6.0–6.5 |
| UK postgraduate | 6.5–7.0 |
| Canada study permit | 6.0–6.5 |
| Canada Express Entry (PR) | 6.0–7.0 per section, varies |
| Australia skilled visa | 6.0–7.0 per section |
| Competitive/Russell Group universities | 7.0–7.5 |
What Does Each Section Really Demand?
Listening
Four recordings, increasing in difficulty, played once each. We drill note-taking under time pressure and catching paraphrased answers, since the test rarely repeats the exact wording from the audio.
Reading
Three passages, ~2,150–2,750 words total. Different question types need different strategies, like skimming for headings and close reading for true/false/not-given, and we train both separately.
Writing
Task 1 (describe a chart or write a letter for General Training) and Task 2 (a 250-word argumentative essay). Task 2 carries more weight, so we teach time allocation that favors it deliberately.
Speaking
Three parts with a live examiner: general questions, a 2-minute cue-card monologue, and a two-way discussion. Scored on fluency, vocabulary, grammar range, and pronunciation — we drill all four.
